I dunno, you've been to Schmidt's pastry cottage... I think you have all you need. :)

But! one place that my family hits up when we visit Salt Lake is the Olde Dutch Store. It smells funny and they sell some interesting groceries (pickled cod?), but in the back there's a delicatessen and this cute little old man makes the most delicious sandwiches.

And to make matters even better, they have shelves and shelves and shelves FULL of beautiful, delicious chocolates and other dutch candies and sweets. YUM.

It's just in Sugarhouse not too far from the U too.

WOW, you actually kept track of where you ate? That's pretty amazing. Now, how can we convince Allen there are other places that have good food besides Golden Corral and Chuck-a-Rama?!?!?!??!?

HELLO...no carbo-loading expedition would be complete without the Cheesecake Factory or Bakkers' Bakery

Ever since getting national press coverage (and hearing of their unorthodox business policies) I have wanted to eat at One World Cafe in SLC (I'm pretty sure tha tis the name). Anyway, after trying to maintain a menu and throwing away too much food, the owner just decided to fix different things every day and let people pay what they think it is worth. Evidently, her business has thrived from this concept. And a unique leap of faith in the business I would have to say.
