A Collection of Things

This is an exciting day.

It's my brother's birthday. He's very cool. And he's lucky, because he will never, ever be as OLD as I am. He's a great dad, a competent physician, and a wonderful person. I love him. Tons. Happy birthday Jerms.

My other brother is doing something absolutely amazing. If you are engaged, or know someone who is, you will kick yourself if you don't check THIS  out.

I saw this poetic tagline on a cooking blog and it cracked me up. Makes you want to stay and read the blog.

Butter my Butt and Call me a Biscuit

Downton Abbey just became available today on Netflix Instant Viewing.

Have you watched Downton Abbey?  If not, do you plan on watching it? If so, what do you think of it? Please do chime in.

That is hilarious about the buttered biscuits. You crack me up Ms Fish.

Oh and no, I haven't watched Downtown Abbey. Is it a show about Catholics?

I think you can also still watch it on PBS. That's where I watched it.

Check here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/watch/index.html

It's a great show that really shows the pull between the old and the new.

Yeah for Masterpiece Theatre!!

How cool your brother is on NieNie! And that is amazing he is giving away a free wedding. I am telling my niece who is getting married in July. I haven't heard of Downton Abbey. Too busy with little kids for luxuries like that. Maybe someday....

never seen that tv show. thanks for the suggestion. i haven't really ever watched much on pbs. but i'm always up for new things to try. right now i'm sort of hooked on arrested development. your brother sounds pretty great for doing a free wedding. i wish i was getting married just so i could have him take my picture.

Good show!

That lady in the picture looks like the lady in Harry Potter. It's nice to see "older" actresses still being able to get jobs. I haven't even heard of this show. Thanks for the suggestion. I really, really loved Emma on Massterpiece Theater.

Nope. Never heard of it. PS: Your brother is cute.

Hi everyone. Thanks for joining the conversation. I wanted to answer a few people....

1. No Downton Abbey is not about Catholics. It is the name of a large estate that has been in a certain family for generations. That's about all I know so far.

2. Thanks for the suggestion about PBS for those that don't have Netflix.

3. I agree, my brother is so generous. It is an amazing giveaway.

4. I agree again. My brother Jeremy is a good-looking fellow. He's single, ladies.

5. Emma is another show I really want to watch. Haven't seen that one either. And you are right Tricia...that actress is Maggie Smith, of Harry Potter fame.

6. That phrase about buttered biscuits IS pretty catchy. I can't quit saying it.
